Job DescriptionSenior Accountant role is a valued member of the Idemitsu Renewables Accounting team, and will assist the Controller with all aspect of financial management and reporting for a leading solar development and sales operation.Essential Duties & Responsibilities* Responsible for the timely and accurate processing of day to day transactions (such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, operating expenses, job costing, bank reconciliations, general ledger entries, financial statements preparations and others)* Assists with all aspects of accounting and the preparation of financial statements in accordance with generally accepting accounting principles (GAAP) in a multi-company, multi-office and multi-State environment, with focus on consolidation of multi-layered project entities, which includes partnerships* Supervise accounting staff and provide technical and professional guidance as needed* Prepare schedules and reports to support cash management, budgets, accounts reconciliations, analysis, audit work and tax preparation* Maintains and updates supporting documentation for different stakeholders* Reviews financial data for accuracy; identifies problems and supports day-to-day operations* Ability to research and reconcile discrepancies and verifying documents in accordance with accounting procedures and policies* Capable of performing with tight deadlines and with a high level of attention to detail* Ad hoc and special projects as required* Ability to travel (local and out-of-state) as necessary to complete assignmentsQualificationsEducation: Bachelors degree in accounting, finance or related business fieldExperience: At least 5-years of experience in accounting with track record of increasing responsibilities with 2-3 years of supervisory experienceSkills & Abilities: Strong focus on customer service and satisfaction,Personal commitment to a safe working environment,Willingness to accomplish stated objectives, Experience in the renewable energy industry, development, or construction industry is a plus,Working experience with accounting systems is required,ERP accounting systems is a plus,MS Office applications (advanced excel),High attention to detail is required,Ability to work well and in a fast paced and dynamic organization,Ability to work independently and within a team group environmentStrong organizational skills,Strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills, andAbility to maintain information confidentiality and handle with discretion.
